Vandals destroyed transmission towers, disrupted power supply in Yobe, Borno: YEDC
The Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) says unidentified assailants attacked and destroyed two transmission towers owned by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) along the Gombe-Damaturu 330kV Single Circuit transmission line.
This was contained in a statement signed by the management of YEDC.
The statement said the destruction resulted in the loss of power supply to Yobe and Borno States, affecting many customers in the region.
“We regret the inconvenience caused by this incident and assure our esteemed customers that we are working closely with TCN to restore power supply as soon as possible.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to serve you better,” the statement read.
