Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board says the issuance of visas for the 2024 Hajj would end on April 29.
The board also added that it has sold 2,600 Hajj seats out of the 5,934 seats allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission for the 2024 Hajj.
Director-general of the board, Laminu Rabiu, made the declaration in Kano on Saturday at the flag-off of the orientation training for 2024 intending pilgrims.
He assured that the board had completed all necessary arrangements for the 2024 Hajj in Kano and Saudi Arabia.
“Intending pilgrims should intensify efforts at ensuring regular attendance at the Hajj orientation exercise.
“The training would be conducted in 13 centres in Kano State; we call on all the intending pilgrims to be prompt in attending the orientation training because they will learn a lot about Hajj.
“We have already completed all the necessary logistics in terms of accommodation, feeding and transportation during the 2024 Hajj,” he assured.
Mr Rabiu urged intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Kano State and Nigeria while in Saudi Arabia, especially by abiding by the rules and regulations governing Hajj.
In her remarks, a senior officer of the NDLEA in Kano State, Aisha Hamid, appealed to intending pilgrims not to take prohibited goods to Saudi Arabia during the Hajj.
