Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress 2023 presidential candidate, has called on electorates in Ekiti to vote for the ruling APC in exchange for money.

“Vote to collect money. Whoever does not vote APC cannot collect money. If you don’t vote for APC, you will not collect money,” Mr Tinubu said in Yoruba.

Mr Tinubu, who was at Ekiti to campaign for the APC governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, on Tuesday, made this comment during a political rally.

Last week, Peoples Gazette reported how Mr Tinubu, at the APC presidential primary where he emerged the party’s flag bearer, allegedly bribed APC delegates to vote for him.

Vote-buying and inducement of voters violate Nigerians electoral law. However, the richest candidates continue to buy their way to victory unhindered.
