Wanted serial killer Rasheed Okoilu nabbed in Osogbo: Police

The police command on March 10 had declared Rasheed Okoilu and Solomon Adedimeji (Solo Iwara) wanted in connection with ritual killings, armed robbery, rape and kidnapping.

The police command in Osun says it has arrested a notorious wanted serial killer Rasheed Hamed, popularly known as Rasheed Okoilu, in the early hours of Sunday.

Police spokeswoman Yemisi Opalola disclosed in a statement in Osogb, that the suspect was arrested by a combined team of police officers from Dugbe Police Station and Oke Baale Police Station with support from local hunters.

Ms Opalola said the suspect was tracked and arrested after he went on a killing spree in Egbatedo, Osogbo, where he murdered three people.

She explained that the suspect had been handed over to the police’s anti-cultism department in the state.
