Wikki Tourists thrash MFM 3-0

Wikki Tourists Football Club (FC) of Bauchi on Sunday defeated Mountain of Fire and Miracle (MFM) FC 3-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday-four encounter at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

Nelson Abiam of Wikki tourists scored in the seventh minute, Isa Usma scored the second goal in 45 minutes, and Ibrahim Nasara scored the third goal for Wikki Tourists.

Although the visitors played good football with several attempts to score, goals refused to come their way.

MFM coach Sola Balogun said the game was a good outing, adding that officiating was fair.

He stated that Wikki Tourists did their best with a fantastic match at home, adding that he took the defeat in good faith,

“My boys really played and put in their best, but we lost the points. We are going to strategise for the next match,” he further said.

On his part, Abdullahi Adamu, Wikki Tourists’ chief coach, said his team showed their skills and teamwork by playing better than the visiting MFM FC.

Adamu, who said the team started well in the league, assured it would keep the tempo.

Wikki Tourists FC now have six points.
