The Yobe Ministry of Health and the state’s Primary Health Care Board, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), have concluded arrangements to begin a seven-day follow-up measles mass vaccination.

This information is contained in a statement signed by Ali Yawale, the head of the information department of the ministry, on Thursday in Damaturu.

Mr Yawale said the exercise would commence on Saturday, Dec. 2, and run through Dec. 9 across the 17 local government areas of the state.

He added that the campaign would focus on children between the ages of nine and 59 months.

The exercise will be carried out at designated vaccination sites within communities across the state.

Mr Yawale encouraged parents, guardians, caregivers, and the public to cooperate and support officials throughout the period.
