Hundreds of voters have turned out en masse to cast their votes in the by-election into the Kaura Namoda-South state constituency in Zamfara.

Voting at Kyambarawa, Kasuwardaji, Magaji, Maguru, and Kagarafalau polling units took place in an orderly manner amid a high turnout of voters.

Election officials and security operatives arrived early at the polling centres to facilitate the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Mainasara Bello, a voter, commended the early arrival of election officials and materials for the exercise.

“We are interested in casting our vote and making our choices, that’s our mandate,” he said.

Another voter, Galadima Magaji, stated that the exercise was being conducted peacefully amid a massive voter turnout in the area.
