Zamfara: Six killed in head-on collision, others injured

The injured were taken to Yeriman Bakura Specialists Hospital, Gusau, for treatment while the dead were deposited at the morgue in the same facility.

Six persons died while six others were injured in an auto crash at Tazame village in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara on Thursday.

The crash occurred when a Sharon bus the victims were travelling had a head-on collision with an articulated vehicle.

On Friday, FRSC sector commander in Zamfara, Iron Danladi, disclosed that the bus was heading to Sokoto from Abuja.

He said the driver of the unregistered bus was overtaking dangerously when it collided with the articulated vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Mr Danladi added that the injured were taken to Yeriman Bakura Specialists Hospital, Gusau, for treatment while the dead were deposited at the morgue in the same facility.
