Scores of sympathisers are marching the streets of Zaria in Kaduna as many Nigerians still grapple with disbelief and sorrow over the “accidental” bombing of 126 civilians on Tuesday by the Nigerian Army.

The march was a protest against the tragic massacre of the innocent Kaduna villagers as demonstrators carried placards with inscriptions like #SecureNorth #JusticeforIgabi, according to Sahara Reporters.

Army authorities have taken responsibility for what it described as a regrettable operational error that led to civilian casualties.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said 66 people were receiving treatments for various degrees of injuries sustained during the grave assault.

President Bola Tinubu had earlier sent a delegation to the affected community, Tundun Biri, in the Igabi local government of Kaduna. Defence Minister Bello Mattawale led the delegation.
