Bulatlat checked the Sumbong sa Pangulo website for the list of flood-control projects in Cebu, one of the most severely affected by typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi). 

The billions of pesos worth of projects failed to shield many parts of the Cebu province from flooding. 

A closer look at the contractors showed that the Quirante family bagged most of the contracts. Jonathan Quirante of the Quirante Construction donated P1 million to Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s presidential run during the 2022 elections.
