Human rights defenders have been prosecuted, summoned, and threatened; protesters are arbitrarily detained, arrested, and even subject to torture and ill-treatment in detention, without due process. Meanwhile, the government failed to solve the ongoing economic and political crises, nor have those responsible for the Beirut Port blast been held accountable.
