The Three Ducks Legacy
From a historic seaside cottage to a luxury boutique hotel, our journey spans over a century of hospitality in the heart of Westhampton.
The Beginning
Originally built as a private summer residence for the Wellington family, the property featured a distinctive weathered-blue exterior with three wooden duck carvings above the entrance—a nod to the local wildlife that graced the nearby ponds.
Transformation
The Wellington estate was purchased by renowned hotelier Eleanor Rhodes, who transformed the main house and surrounding cottages into a small inn called "The Three Ducks Lodge," preserving its original charm while adding modern comforts.
Expansion
Under the guidance of the second generation of the Rhodes family, the property expanded to include additional guest accommodations, a fine dining restaurant, and landscaped gardens, becoming a favorite destination for discerning travelers.
Rebirth
After a comprehensive renovation and reimagining by acclaimed interior designer Sofia Harrington, Three Ducks reopened as a luxury boutique hotel that honors its rich history while offering contemporary elegance and world-class amenities.
