policeman. B stops in his track and stares at the Amerasian.
THE AMERASIAN
Standstill or I will shoot.
POLICEMAN B
Do you dare? Remember, I am a
policeman. You will go to jail for
life for shooting a policeman. Do
you dare?
THE
Take on a step forward and I will
shoot. I am not afraid. I am just
defending myself.
The policeman considers the determination on the Amerasian's face
and feels a little afraid. But he regains his poise and swiftly changes
the conversation.
POLICEMAN B
I know you won't dare shoot me. You
aren't stupid enough to add more
calamities to your fate when you still
have a big unresolved problem. Let me
ask you again: do you love the girl? And
remember that you are an Amerasian
and she is an underage girl.
THE AMERASIAN
