I used the Dyson Supersonic to wash Amanda's curly 3B hair and my 2C hair. We used only the diffuser to style her hair. But I used all of my attachment settings for myself except the wide tooth comb because it isn't made for my hair. Sorry, I forgot to take photos after using both the concentrated styler attachments and the diffuser. I was able to achieve a great hairstyle with both the diffuser and concentrated styler attachments.

However, I have not seen any knockoffs. A workaround is to let your hair air dry for most of the time and then use a hair dryer for the final few minutes. This will give your hair a smooth, shiny look without any heat exposure.

I generally wash my hair once a week. Sometimes, my hair will dry naturally. Most of the time, however I will blow it out. My hair tends to be long, thick and wavy. Because of this, I can either dry my hair straight or let it air dry.
It's not quite quiet by any means, but it's certainly quieter than some. Some sources cite it at 75 decibels and others at 79... if you really want to get technical.

Magnetic attachments are also very appealing to me. I have dropped my hairdryer, cracked the diffuser screw and been left without a diffuser attachment. I was hooked. Dyson dryers dry hair much faster than others. The first time it was used, I used my phone's timer to record the time. The result? 1:40:11. It took me less that two minutes to dry the whole head. It takes longer to dry my hair than it does to make instant coffee. This alone was enough to make the Dyson worth my money. I am usually late, but I don’t worry if there is enough time to do my hair. I always have two minutes.
