Of course it still happened! although not in the manner to which we have become accustomed! Glastonbury 2001 had a face lift for the Millennium- it went virtual.
The 2001 festival happened on the web, making it open to everyone and accessible everywhere!
When the disappointing announcement was made earlier in the year that the traditional Glastonbury weekend was off, people were left with an empty summer, until the boys and gals at Playlouder decided to do something about it.
Playlouder got together with the Glastonbury festival organisers to create the world's first virtual summer festival. The thrill of the festival was enjoyed by many in their own homes, but without the mud!
