McDonalds, Coca-Cola and Unilever - three of the major sponsors at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games - are under the spotlight at the world's first Green Games by continuing to use HFC's in their refrigeration equipment throughout the site.

With less than four months to go before the opening, Greenpeace Australia has launched a new report: 'Green Olympics - Dirty Sponsors' which calls on the three sponsors to commit to using 100% greenfreeze hydrocarbon (HC) technology at the games and to introduce greenfreeze in their corporate refrigeration policies worldwide.

Sydney, Wednesday 28 June 2000. Greenpeace congratulated Coca-Cola for meeting Greenpeace demands by adopting a new refrigeration policy to reduce its impact on global climate change before the world's first Green Games.
