Glastonbury competition rules

Last edited 9 June 2007 at 12:09pm

This competition is for fun and to raise awareness of climate change and what you can do about it, but there are still a few rules, sorry:

1. The closing date for submissions is midnight GMT on Sunday 17th June. We’ll notify the winner by telephone or email on Monday 18th June. The festival dates are 22-24 June so there's not much time to spare; if you win and we can't get hold of you by 3pm on Monday, we reserve the right to award the prize to someone else.

2. Your picture or video must be your own work (although mash-ups are allowed).

3. Videos must be less than two minutes long.

4. If you win, we'll give you two tickets for Glastonbury 2007. These tickets are non-transferrable - you need to use them yourself and you can't sell them. You need to provide the name of your guest when you enter.

5. You must be a resident of the UK or Eire (we're not big fans of flying).

6. We will send the tickets out the day the winner is announced by special delivery but we are not responsible if the post doesn't turn up.

7. On arrival at the festival, you and your friend will need to present some photo identification, such as a drivers' licence, which matches up with the names on the tickets. You need to present these to the Hospitality Reception Cabin, located adjacent to Vehicle Gate 4a (we'll send these details again with your tickets).

8. You need to sort out and pay for your own transport to and from the site and everything else you need while you’re there.

9. The judges will be members of the Greenpeace UK webteam. There are no judging criteria except that the winner needs to impress us - whether it's for artistic merit, humour, emotional impact, intelligence, originality, fun or any other quality. This is obviously pretty subjective so it's worth saying: in choosing the winner, we are all powerful and our decision is final (but we tend to have pretty good taste...).

10. Greenpeace UK gets to use any images/video submitted (not just the winning entries) on our website now and in perpetuity. We may also show them on a screen at Glastonbury.

11. You must be at least eighteen and you can't be an employee or immediate relative of any employee of Greenpeace.

12. You enter the competition at your own risk and Greenpeace does not accept any liability for you or for your guest's expenses, personal injury, damage, theft or loss in connection with the competition even if that loss is caused by Greenpeace's negligence. Etc.
