Hi there,

Thank you for visiting the Greenpeace field at Glastonbury and for registering your support for our campaign to stop nuclear power. I hope you had a great festival despite the rain and mud which tried its hardest to dampen our spirits!

As promised, I'm writing to update you on what we're doing to help halt the expansion of nuclear power and to share with you a film - The Convenient Solution - we've just finished making.

The government says it wants to stop climate change and ensure energy security. Our film shows why nuclear power can't achieve either of these goals, and it lays out how renewables, energy efficiency and combined heat and power can - in the same period of time and for less money.

As you know, climate change needs urgent action, and we have several other campaigns we would love to keep you up-to-date on and to ask for your help. If you would like to hear about some of our other work, please reply to this email and let us know.

I really hope you'll stick with our campaigns. It's only when people join together and put pressure on the government and industry that things start to change. Greenpeace is all about investigating and exposing environmentally damaging practices, and championing alternative solutions which are kinder to our planet. It'd be great to have you with us.

Thank you for taking action,

Kelly Maklowicz
