Oil seed rape
Following the news that GM oilseed rape contaminated with GM is growing on up to 600 farms in the UK Greenpeace has contacted the Government, advising them that any sale of this crop would be illegal under EU and UK law. Unless the Government informs affected farmers of this illegality within 7 days we will take the UK Government to court. Greenpeace is demanding that the crops be destroyed and the affected farmers compensated. It has also emerged that some conventional maize crops may be have been contaminated in a number of European countries.
