"...you may feel counsel for the defence was justified in his descriptions of these defendants and see them as intelligent, informed, idealistic and decent people who have a profound belief in the causes they serve. If they are right in the ends they seek (and I emphasise that if because it's not for us to decide whether they are right or wrong) we shall all have reason to be grateful if they succeed in their campaign."

A court date has now been confirmed for the 2nd Lyng trial. The 28 defendants are charged with Criminal Damage after being cleared of theft at the first hearing. The trial will start on September 4th and is expected to last for 2 weeks. Follow the events of the re-trial on Greenpeace Digital when it begins.
