Responding to Labour leader Ed Miliband's call for a 2030 decarbonisation target, Greenpeace Policy Director Joss Garman said:

“Ed Miliband’s blistering attack on the Coalition’s climate and energy record leaves George Osborne more isolated than ever.”

“With both the Labour leader and Lib Dem leader now backing a new goal for carbon-free power by 2030 to drive green growth, and businesses lining up to support it, it’s time for David Cameron to intervene and help make this law. It would give renewable energy investors confidence and mean households could enjoy more stable bills."
