Greenpeace present P&G 'Sustainability Director' with Golden Axe award for deforestation

Wednesday 26th March, Manchester – Today 5 Greenpeace volunteers presented Procter & Gamble with the Golden Axe award for buying palm oil from companies that are responsible for destroying Indonesia’s rainforests. They presented the award at Europe’s biggest cosmetics and detergents convention, Cleaning Products Europe, at the Manchester Hilton.

 As Virginie Helias, Sustainability Director for Procter & Gamble, was addressing the industry audience, Richard George, Forests Campaigner for Greenpeace UK, joined her at the podium and presented her with the award. He said:
