Questions about Laundry Station

These are the store-level answers. Service-specific questions live on the service pages, where they can be answered properly instead of being compressed into one generic FAQ.

The store

What are your hours?

6:30am to 10pm, seven days a week. Last wash goes on at 9pm, and if you are bringing towels or bedding it is smarter to arrive by 8pm so drying is not rushed.

Is there parking?

Parking is directly in front, which matters when you are carrying two bags. The 152 Addison bus also stops at the door.

Do you take credit cards?

Coins and cards at every machine, the Cents app if you prefer it, and cards at the counter. Illinois LINK cash benefits are taken at the counter; SNAP food benefits cannot be used for laundry.

Do I need quarters?

No. Every machine takes a card as well as coins.

Is somebody there, or is it unattended?

Somebody is here every hour we are open. Not a camera and an intercom.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. The floor is bilingual, and the site is available in Spanish as well.

When is it busiest?

Weekend mornings. A weekday evening or an early morning is quieter and gives you the best shot at the larger machines.

Are you a 24-hour laundromat?

No, and that is deliberate. Every open hour is staffed, which is more useful than being open all night with no help on the floor.

The store changed hands recently. What does that mean?

New ownership since July 2026. The short answer is serviced machines, posted prices, and a more factual website. The longer answer is on the About page.

Choosing a service

Which service do I actually want?

Do it yourself if you have ninety minutes and do not mind the trip. Drop it off if you pass the store anyway. Have it collected if getting here is the problem.

Is it cheaper to do my own laundry at home?

Often about the same once detergent, water, electricity and machine wear are counted. The bigger difference is usually the hours of your week.

I have never used a laundromat. Where do I start?

Come in and ask. It is the most common first question on the floor, and nobody minds it. The first-time guide is there too if you want the full walk-through before you arrive.
