Commercial laundry for Chicago businesses
Recurring linen, towel and uniform volume for businesses on Northwest Chicago. Washed, dried and folded on serviced machines, collected and returned on a fixed schedule, with one person who knows your account.
What decides your quote
Five things, and you already know four of them about your own business. Nothing else goes into the number.
| Input | What lowers the rate | What raises it |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly volume | More - the largest single factor, and the reason a list price cannot work | Less - under a certain weight, wash and fold is simply cheaper |
| Frequency | Regular and fixed - a standing Tuesday is easier to staff than an unpredictable one | Ad hoc - calling when you happen to need it |
| What is in it | Uniform items - a hundred identical towels is one process | Mixed - different fabrics, temperatures and finishes in one collection |
| Turnaround | Next day - we can schedule it around the floor | Same day - it displaces other work |
| Collection | You drop off - no journey to cover | We collect - driver time and fuel, as with any delivery |
Which businesses this suits
| Business | Typically | What matters most to them |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurants and cafes | Aprons, service cloths, tea towels, table linen | Turnaround. A short cycle and no spare set means a missed day closes a service |
| Salons and barbers | Towels, gowns, capes | Colour holding up, and towels that come back soft rather than stiff with product residue |
| Gyms and studios | Hand towels, bath towels, mat covers | Volume and consistency. Nobody notices good towels; everybody notices a damp one |
| Short lets and Airbnb | Bed linen, bath towels, tea towels | Timing around changeover, which is rarely the same day each week |
| Offices and clinics | Tea towels, hand towels, small linen | Low volume, no fuss, one invoice a month |
What to ask any laundry supplier
Whether you talk to us or to somebody else, these are the questions that separate a supplier who will still be reliable in six months from one who is cheap in the first month.
- Where is the work actually done? Plenty of services subcontract. Ask for the address and whether you can see it.
- What happens when you are short-staffed? Every supplier has a bad week. The answer you want is a plan, not a promise it will not happen.
- Who do I call, and will they know who I am? One named contact who knows your account is worth more than a support line.
- What is the notice period, and what happens if I leave? A supplier confident in the service does not need to lock you in.
Our answers, in order: 6043 W Addison St, and yes, come and look. We tell you the same day and move your slot rather than silently running late. One person, and yes. None - you can stop whenever you like.
How a commercial account starts
A call, a quote, and a trial. Nothing is signed before you have seen the work come back at least once.
Week one is a trial and it is priced as a normal order. You send what you would normally send, we do it, and you see the turnaround and the finish before either of us commits to a schedule. If it is not right, that is the end of it and you have paid a one-off price for one week of laundry.
After that we agree a fixed collection day, a contact, and an invoicing arrangement. Volume almost always changes in the first month once you see what you are actually putting through, and the quote is revisited then rather than held to a guess made before we started.
There is no notice period, no minimum term and nothing to cancel in writing.
Invoicing, contact and collection days
Invoiced, not paid per visit
Accounts are invoiced on an agreed cycle rather than settled at the counter each time. Terms are set when the account starts and appear on every invoice.
One named contact
The same person who took your first call. They know your schedule, your items and what you asked for last time, which is the whole point of an account.
A fixed day, changed when you need
A standing day that both sides can plan around. Move it for a busy week or pause it for a closure - a call is enough and nothing needs restarting.
Do not book through the app
The Cents app is for household collections and cannot handle a commercial account. Booking through it will produce a domestic order priced per pound, not your agreed rate. Call instead.
Tell us what you put through in a week
Call (773) 234-8412 and you will have a number the same day. Five minutes, no visit required, and if wash and fold at the published rate is cheaper for you we will say so on the call.
