Expand/CollapseSCOPE AND CONTENTS

The report for each farm gives the name and ethnicity of the farmer; kind and acreage of each crop planted, kind and number of livestock raised, and number of silos erected in 1917 and 1918; and information on the need for additional farm labor, including the number, gender, and nationality desired, time period, and for what type of work.

For some jurisdictions, forms containing statistical totals precede the forms for individual farms. Statistical summaries for most counties are filmed at the beginning of Roll 1, immediately following the Commission's published report on the census. A chart showing which types of documents are present for each county is filmed at the beginning of each roll.
