Kiir discusses Warrap security situation with the newly appointed governor Aleu Ayieny Aleu

Feb 26, 2021(Nyamilepedia) — President Kiir on Friday met with the newly appointed governor of Warrap State Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu where they discussed the issue of the state’s security.

According to a statement by the presidential press, the president had met with Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu to brief him before he assumes his official duties as a governor.

“H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit met with the newly appointed Governor of Warrap State Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu for a briefing and directives prior to his departure for Warrap State to assume his official duties as the Governor,” a statement by the presidential press.

In the meeting, the two leaders addressed issues pertaining to the general security situation of Warrap State.

The newly appointed governor said he is on a mission to address the conflicts in the state so as to bring peace and stability.

“In his remarks to the media after the meeting, Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu appealed that he is leaving for Warrap State today with a mission to address the issues of communal conflicts and bring peace and stability in Warrap State,” the statement continued.

Hon. Aleu Ayieny Aleu ordered that he doesn’t want any Roadblocks in Warrap state and promised to start developmental projects in his State as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Nhial Deng Nhial at the official residence of H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
