January 22, 2022 —The advance team of the breakaway faction of the SPLM/A-IO Kitgwang is expected to land in the capital, Juba soon.
This comes less than a week after SPLM-IG signed a separate deal with the Kigwang faction, Agwelek forces under Gen. Johnson Olony and those led by Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual.
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, the head of delegation of the Agwelek Forces Gen. Paul Achot Nyibek says, they have come to Juba to prepare for the historical return of Gen. Johnson Olony.
“We have come to Juba now, as part of our commitment to the Revitalized Agreement, our coming here is to demonstrate our political will to implementing peace agreement”,a senior senior General Achot told media upon his arrival at Airport.
He said when you see him in Juba, it means you saw Gen. Olony too since he was sent to explore the environment in Juba.
“.. You see today I came to Juba tomorrow you will see Johnson Olony here too even, Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual will be here as part of commitment to negotiated settlement.
Last Sunday, the SPLM-IG delegation led by the Presidential Advisor on National Security Tut Gatluak Manime signed a peace deal with splitter group of SPLA/IO who abandoned Dr. Riek Machar camp in August last year.
