According to the statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Minister Deng urges the states and Administrative Areas to comply and implement the conditional transfers that have been transferred by the National Ministry of General Education to states and administrative areas in order to pay salaries of teachers and operational costs of secondary and primary schools in their respective areas.

The National Primary Eight Leaving examinations kicked-off on Monday across South Sudan with a total of 53,220 eligible candidates confirmed to sit this year of which 31,232 are males and 21,988 are females.

Awut said she briefed the president on the conditional transfers to the states and Administrative Areas to pay the salaries of teachers and operational costs for secondary and primary Schools, an issue that has caused heated debates and protests across Jonglei and other states.

Hon. Awut Deng Acuil asked the States and Administrative Areas to clean up ghost names from their Teachers payroll so that the resources can be used efficiently to facilitate and promote education across the Country.
