6 staff docked for stealing company’s products valued at N64.5 million

Six men were on Friday arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 116 health management products worth N64.5 million.

The defendants are Amuche Mbam, 25; Enetule Amorous, 29; Miracle Ovuo, 26; Abubakar Sodiq, 36; Godwin Idih, 31; and Azubuike Ogayi, 32.

They are standing trial for conspiracy and stealing but pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the defendants were experts in technology and worked with Q-Net Online Networking Marketing Company.

Mr Akeem said that the defendants stole 116 pieces of Chi pendants and bio discs belonging to the company.

Chi pendants and bio disks are used for stress management, energy boosting and immunity strengthening.

Mr Akeem said that the defendants committed the offences in March at No. 17, Ndike St., Obawole, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos State.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of one million Naira each, with two sureties in like sum.

Mrs Osunsanmi adjourned the case until July 26 for mention.
