The Accord Party on Tuesday said it had concluded plans to hold mega rallies in three South West States to mobilise votes for its candidates ahead of 2023 general elections.

The party, in a communique issued after the Accord (South-West) Stakeholders meeting held in Lagos on Monday, said that the rallies would hold in Oyo, Ogun and Lagos States.

The communique was signed by the National Chairman, Isaac Adeniyi, and the South West National Vice Chairman, Mogaji Sunday Igbinsola.

“The South West caucus of Accord pledges unreserved allegiance to total adherence to the party’s constitution and the leadership of the National Chairman, Rev’d Isaac Adeniyi.

“The National Chairman mandates all candidates of the party to align themselves to the new leadership of the party in their states, towards necessary rectification of their candidacy.

“The South West Zonal working committee will organise a South West mega campaign for all the candidates of Accord in the South West zone in Ibadan, Lagos and Abeokuta in January 2023 ahead of the general elections,” the communique read in part.

It called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to respect the rule of law concerning the September 1 court orders on the Accord party’s legitimate leadership.

Some of the party leaders in attendance at the zonal meeting include Isaac Adeniyi, the new National Chairman of Accord; Mogaji Sunday Igbinsola, the South West, National Vice chairman and Mr Dele Oladeji, the Chairman, Accord, Lagos State.

Others are: the Accord Chairmen of Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti States; Messrs Ademola Adeniji, Michael Oke and Sunday Fasae respectively; representatives from Osun and Ondo States and candidates of the party from the zone.
