Bagudu pays N11 million to facilitate Kebbi indigenes’ recruitment into Nigerian Army
Governor Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of N11 million to facilitate recruiting 1,500 Kebbi indigenes into the Nigerian Army 84 Regular Recruits Intake.
The Kebbi governor’s media aide Yahaya Sarki disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday.
The statement quoted the secretary to the state government (SSG), Babale Umar-Yauri, as saying, “The approval is to facilitate smooth conduct of recruitment exercise of 1,500 candidates from the 21 local government areas of the state.”
Mr Umar-Yauri added, “They are expected to be screened into the Nigerian Army as regular recruits intake (trade and non-trades men/women).”
The recruitment consists of screening credentials, physical features, medical tests, oral and written examinations, etc.
The exercise is expected to last 14 days, from December 5 to 19, at the One Battalion, Dukku Barracks in Birnin Kebbi.
