Customs rededicate to fight against smugglers in Ogun

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Ogun 1 Area Command, Idiroko, Ogun State, has reiterated its commitment to combat smugglers against smuggling illicit goods into the country.
The Area Comptroller, Oladapo Afeni, made this known during an interview on Wednesday in Idiroko.
Mr Afeni reaffirmed the command’s efforts to sustaining the tempo and momentum against illicit goods posing threats to the country.
“The Ogun 1 Area Command remain vigilant, alert and ready to confront any threat to the economic, and security interests of our nation in 2026,” he said.
Mr Afeni enjoined the public to help in providing useful information that could assist towards curbing illegal activities in the border zones.
The comptroller also warned the people engaging in smuggling activities to refrain from such act and turn a new leaf in 2026.
Mr Afeni assured that the command would continue to serve with integrity, courage and professionalism, guided by its mandate and committed to national development.
