The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says no fewer than 12 marketing companies have defended their submissions to handle campaigns of the NOA and National Lifestyle Charter.

The agency said this in a statement on Wednesday.

The National Lifestyle Charter encompasses NOA’s effort to codify the nation’s values under two categories, namely the Nigerian Promise and the Citizens Code.

“The Nigerian Promise encapsulates the irreducible obligation of every government to the citizens, irrespective of party or where the leader comes from, while the citizen’s code is a corresponding duty of the citizen to the nation,” said the NOA statement.

It explained that the companies were evaluated based on past work, membership of relevant professional bodies, size and quality of the team and demonstrable creative capacity, among others.

NOA said its director-general Lanre Issa-Onilu, who inaugurated the process, spoke on the vision of the new management in the agency and the need for a sustainable platform for citizen engagement.

The NOA chief said the selected company would complement the agency’s effort to engage with the citizens on government programmes.

The marketing firms made submissions within the coverage areas of the agency’s CLHEEAN community projects, which included crime, lawlessness, health, environment, education, abuse and narcotics, said NOA.
