Four injured in Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway accident

The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps has said four persons sustained varying degrees of injury when a commercial bus lost control at Toll-gate area of Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

South-West Zonal Commander of TRACE, Adekunle Ajibade, confirmed the accident on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun State.

Mr Ajibade said that the accident happened at about 9.15 a.m when the commercial bus marked APP 427 YA lost control and hit the victims.

He said that the bus was coming from Sango-Ota heading towards Toll-gate when it lost control and rammed into two persons on a motorcycle and two pedestrians planning to cross the road.

“The four victims sustained varying degrees of injury and they were taken to State Hospital, Ota for treatment,” he said.

Mr Ajibade advised motorists against dangerous driving and excessive speed to avoid unnecessary loss of life.

He also cautioned commercial motorcyclists against indiscriminate parking at the Toll-gate area and advised them to be wary of approaching vehicles in trying to scout for passengers. .
