Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has cried out on the spate of attacks and killings in the state that has claimed the lives of at least 150 persons, calling it “pure genocide.”

Lamenting the spate of killings in the state, Mr Mutfwang said, “in Plateau State, I can tell you that 80 per cent of the situation is pure genocide against Plateau people.”

Mr Mutfwang, who visited President Bola Tinubu at the Villa on Friday, disclosed this in an interview with Channels TV on Friday night.

“Last night, four people were killed in Mangu Local Government. Conservatively, I will put it that in the last three weeks, we have buried not less than 150 people in Mangu Local Government Area alone,” Mr Mutfwang said.

The governor said Mr Tinubu had assured him that the country’s security architecture would be rejigged to tackle insecurity across the country.

Peoples Gazette had reported that 80 persons were killed in different attacks across the country in Mr Tinubu’s first week in office.

The Gazette also reported how Mr Tinubu made no statement commiserating with the families of the dead as he did to the Indian train victims of June 2.
