Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State promised in Lafia on Sunday to continue to provide security to protect the hospitality industry in the state.

The governor made the promise through the deputy governor, Emmanuel Akabe, who represented him at the inauguration of the VIP wing of a privately-owned hotel in Lafia.

He noted that security is of topmost priority for his administration because development would not thrive in an insecure environment.

Mr Sule also noted that his administration had invested a lot in security to create an enabling environment for the private sector to conduct business and contribute to development.

The governor said his administration would continue to equip youths and women with modern skills at the state’s newly-established skills acquisition institute as well as in other technology centres in the state.
