Iforiti Oloro, the 75-year-old grandmother who set ablaze her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren in Ondo is dead, Peoples Gazette just learnt.

Mrs Oloro gave up the ghost in Ondo at a facility of the hospital where she was transferred for onward treatment.

In a phone chat on Tuesday night, a source who pleaded for anonymity, said “The old woman (Iforiti) is dead after sustaining some burns in the fire incident. She was taken to the hospital but we got the information that she’s dead.”

Recall that a fortnight ago, the septuagenarian set fire on the family of her son, Victor Oloro, at Aponmu, a suburb of Akure.

Her son, Victor, and daughter-in-law, Racheal, later died at the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, where they were rushed for medical treatment.

Police Spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, could not be reached immediately to confirm the late development.

However, a police investigator in the case also confirmed Mrs Oloro’s death to The Gazette in a brief telephone call.

“Yes, she’s dead. She has been moved to the morgue,” the officer added.
