Governor Bala Mohammed, on Sunday, begged the electorate to support his reelection bid and all Peoples Democratic Party’s candidates during general elections.

“I am promising that we will not rig the election. We will allow the will of the people to prevail,” said the Bauchi governor. “I urge you to receive all the politicians that come here for the campaign. Don’t run away; receive them because you are fathers to all.”

Mr Mohammed made the appeal while launching his reelection campaign in the Itas-Gadau council area of Bauchi.

The governor, who promised not to interfere with the electoral process, rig himself into office, harass or intimidate anyone during the election, expressed confidence that his good deeds in his first term would speak for him.

He lauded the district head of Itas, Sagir Abdullahi, for supporting his administration and sought his blessing to triumph in the March 11 gubernatorial election.

“We are grateful for the support we got from you in the past, and you can see how we are fulfilling the pledge we made when we were campaigning in 2019. You have seen that we have constructed a road here, and we are still doing some other projects, and we are also happy working with the sons and daughters from this area in government,” explained the Bauchi governor.”
