The Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan has ordered Saheed Moshood, 31, to be remanded in prison custody for killing a minor.

Mr Moshood is charged with the murder of three-year-old Saka Olaadua.

The Magistrate, O.A. Akande, did not take the defendant’s plea for want in jurisdiction.

She directed the police to return the case file to the director of public prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice and adjourned the case until February 23 for mention.

Police prosecutor Philip Amusan told the court that Mr Moshood committed the offence on June 6, 2022, at about 4:00 p.m. at Elesin village, Egbeda, Ibadan.

Mr Amusan alleged that the accused unlawfully caused the death of Olaadua by shooting her.
