The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) gubernatorial aspirant in Katsina State, Imran Jino, said that he would not rely on allocations from the federation account to run the state.

“If I am elected Governor, I will not wait for monthly allocations to run the state,” Mr Jino stated this canvassing for support from the delegates in Katsina on Sunday.

He added, “I will devise means and ways of generating revenue that will enable me run the government without necessarily relying heavily on funds from the government at the centre.”

Mr Jino assured that he would emulate the Ethiopian and Rwandan governments in establishing aviation industries to generate revenues.

Governments in these two countries rely on the revenues generated from the aviation industry to run their governments.

“Our farm produces like tomatoes, sesame, soya beans, and rice were left wasted or sold at give-away prices. I will export these products to other countries for sale and get money and do things for the state,” he said.
