‘Just a Word’ ready to enthral audiences, enliven homes

United Kingdom-based film-maker, Toyin Nike Olabintan, has concluded works on her latest film titled, Just a Word.

The latest film is on the stable of Toyin Nikey Imagination Productions, a force behind many good films.

A statement by the Executive Producer of the film, Ms Olabintan, noted that she and the producer, Keji Oni, bring to the screen a powerful story that explores the transformative power of words and the human spirit.

It noted, ‘Just a Word’ is a thought-provoking drama that delves into the life of a man who struggles to find his voice, and the profound impact his silence has on those around him. Get ready for a great experience that will leave you inspired and moved.’’

The statement further indicated that the film would start showing on Yorubaplay YouTube channel from May 30, 2024.

Dwelling on the synopsis of the film, the statement added, “Just a Word is a tragic story of Mr Owolabi, a stubborn man, who refuses to thank God when things were going smoothly for him.

“He refuses to utter a word of prayer or speak positivity into his life, even when faced with adversity. As his word crumbles around him, will he break his silence and speak life into his reality, or will his stubbornness seal his fate? You will get to know when “Just a Word” starts showing on YouTube. It’s full of drama and emotions.”

The movie, which is under the direction of Dele Michael, featured experienced role interpreters which included Akin Lewis, Jaiye Kuti, Adeniyi Johnson, Ayo Olaiya. Taiwo Ibikunle and Kamo State.  

Others are Yinka Salau, Olabintan and Oni.

Commenting on the film, Ms Olabintan said that experienced actors deliver unforgettable performances that bring depth and nuance to the story. She expressed optimism that with such a stellar lineup, ‘Just a Word’ is sure to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
