Catholic Church to give victims of Owo massacre mass burial on Friday

Worshippers killed by gunmen in the last week violent attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, in Ondo State, would be given a “funeral mass”, on Friday.

The funeral, was announced in a pamphlet, circulated by the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, on Sunday evening.

A copy made available to Peoples Gazette read that the funeral mass for the victims of “Owo Massacre” would hold at Otapete, a local settlement in Owo town.

At least, 40 worshippers were gruesomely killed by gunmen at the Catholic church, last week Sunday, with dozens also wounded in the violent attack.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, is from Owo.

The attack on the church has been attracting condemnation from eminent personalities and various international group.
