The Lagos state government has announced the diversion of traffic at Adeniji in Lagos Island, for the ongoing reconstruction work by the federal ministry of works.

The commissioner for transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, made this known in a statement, in Lagos on Wednesday.

“From 11.00 p.m. today, Aug. 28 to 4.00 a.m. on Aug. 29, all vehicles coming from the Third Mainland Bridge, heading to the Island will be diverted from Adeniji Junction.

“They will have to make use of Adeniji Ramp to connect their desired destinations.

“Alternatively, motorists can also use Ikorodu Road to continue their journeys,” Mr Osiyemi said.

He appealed to motorists to endure the inconveniences the diversion might cause.
