Manchester City’s Erling Haaland wins PFA ‘Player of the Year Award’

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has emerged as the winner of the PFA Player of the Year Award following his superb debut season for the club.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has emerged as the winner of the PFA Player of the Year Award following his superb debut season for the club.

With 52 goals in all competitions, Haaland powered City to a historic treble, standing above other contenders for the award.

In his debut season, Haaland broke the Premier League single-season goalscoring record, netting 36 goals in 35 games. 

Nominated for the award were City teammates Stones and De Bruyne, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane (formerly of Tottenham Hotspur).
