Billionaire founder of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, trained with Nigerian-born UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya ahead of a taunted fight with Twitter chief Elon Musk.

On Thursday, Adesanya posted various photos from a training session with Zuckerberg, who has recently developed an interest in combat sports. The Last Styleblender captioned the post: “We both have South Africans to deal with.”

Last month, Zuckerberg and South African-born billionaire Musk agreed to cage a fight. This was after Musk tweeted that he was “up for a cage fight” with the Facebook CEO. The Twitter chief responded, “Send me the location” via an Instagram story.

A spokesperson for Meta told BBC, “The story speaks for itself,” in response to the seriousness of the matter.

However, whether a fight will materialise between the two rival social media chiefs is unclear.

Zuckerberg won two medals in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament at a Silicon Valley high school in May. He won a gold medal in the Nogi Master 1 White Belt Featherweight Division.

Meanwhile, the Silver medal came in the Gi Master 2 White Belt Featherweight Division.

“Competed in my first jiu-jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu team,” Zuckerberg posted on Facebook.
