Kano Pillars vs Wikki Tourists

Kano Pillars Football Club were held to a 1-1 draw on Sunday by visiting Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in match day 33 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League match (NPFL).

The match was played under closed doors at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

The encounter was one of the matches to be played under closed doors to punish Kano Pillars fans’ pitch invasion against Katsina United in Kano.

It witnessed total compliance with the sanction as journalists and match officials were properly screened by security agents before going into the stadium.

Pillars, who were dominant all through the duration of the match, lacked the cutting edge.

Fahad Usman opened the scoring for the Pillars in the 14th minute while Adamu Shafi”u leveled up for the visitors in the 33rd minute.

Pillars coach, Ibrahim Musa, in a post-match interview, said it was a bad day for the team because they wasted a lot of goal scoring chances.

Musa, who hailed his players for their fighting spirit, however said both teams played well.

He added that the team would prepare to face Dakada FC in their next match.
