The Oyo assembly has called on Nigerians to spread love to the less privileged, orphans and physically challenged in the spirit of the Eid-el-Adha.

In a statement on Wednesday in Ibadan, Waheed Akintayo, chairman of the House’s Media and Public Affairs Committee, also urged Nigerians to pray for the country.

“Muslims should not only pray for themselves but the country also and Oyo state in particular. They need to spread love to the less privileged, orphans and physically challenged,” the statement said.

It urges political leaders in the country to appropriately direct and guide, pointing out that the country would soon overcome the current hard times it was going through.

The parliament prayed for the safe return of all Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia for the 2023 hajj and assured residents that Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration would continue to deliver dividends of democracy.
