Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared his thoughts on the ongoing feud between the singing duo P-Square, advising that the twins should be allowed to part ways as “sometimes, real peace comes from staying apart.”

The duo recently announced their separation three years after reuniting in 2021, having initially split in 2016. The announcement of their break-up sparked debates on social media, with many music fans arguing that the twins were better together.

However, Edochie, in an Instagram post, contended that fans urging the twins to settle their rift lacked understanding of what life entails.

“I see people say, ‘Rudeboy, go and make peace with your brother,’ ‘Mr P, go and make peace with your brother,’ I just laugh,” said Edochie. “Many people still don’t understand what life is about. Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart.”

He stated that distancing oneself, even from family members, can be necessary for personal well-being.

Edochie added, “Sometimes, even some family members have to be blocked to achieve peace. Sometimes, you just have to relate with people from a distance to have peace. Trying to be close will kill you. Life is short, especially for men.”

He stressed the importance of prioritising one’s peace and expressed support for P-Square, regardless of their relationship status.

“Small thing man don fall. Too much stress. That’s why we have many widows everywhere. So, you have to be intentional about your life. And life na per head.

“Block anybody that needs to be blocked so you can have peace. Don’t look back. Fight for yourself. Stay alive. It’s good to see P-Square together. But if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive for us, let them stay apart. We love them regardless,” he said in the post captioned, “Being alive and happy is more important than being together.”

Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, had accused his twin brother Paul, aka Rudeboy, of dishonesty and disrespect. He also accused their elder brother, Jude Okoye, of secretly diverting millions of dollars in royalties from P-Square’s earnings into a private account.
