The Gwagwalada Division of the FCT High Court on Wednesday ordered that three men be remanded in a correction centre for alleged armed robbery.

The police charged Tasiu Suleiman, Abubakar Mohammed and Haruna Salisu with five counts bordering on armed robbery.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Justice Aliyu Shafa ordered that the defendant be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre and adjourned for a hearing until June 20.

The prosecution counsel, Okokon Udo, told the court that the defendants and others now at large conspired and carried out an unlawful act of felony, namely armed robbery, on November 7, 2023, at Master Hotel and Asue Hotel in Bwari Area Council, FCT.

Mr Udo said the defendants and others, now at large, on the same day attacked a victim, Philip Ephraim with a gun and cutlasses and took away N150,000 and an armed generator.

He said the defendants also attacked and robbed Life Mathias with a gun and stole his two phones, wristwatch, point of sale (PoS) machine and N86,000.
