A salesgirl, Blessing Okwudili, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing four pieces of MacBook Pro and a Samsung A32, all worth N4.97 million.

Ms Okwudili, whose residential address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing. She, however, pleaded not guilty.

According to the prosecutor, Olusegun Kokoye, the defendant committed the offences on August 4, at 1:00 p.m. at No. 2, People Street, Computer Village, Ikeja.

Mr Kokoye said that the defendant stole four MacBook Pro and one Samsung A32, all valued at N4,974,000, and cash in the sum of N29,000.

He said that the items belonged to one Onyema Emeka, and that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, Sakirat Obasa, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 and two sureties and adjourned the case until October 25, for mention.
